By inventing its own spaces each time, for the show at the Castello di Rivoli the School occupies a surface of almost 50 square meters at the Manica Lunga. Six monitors with six “tutorials” proposed introductory ideas, presenting short choreographed sequences. The floor was covered with a large vinyl dance carpet that offered the chance to try suggested movement first-hand, or develop free invention. For the entire duration of this show the space has been used for encounters and rehearsals for the Public Parade organised by the artist in conjunction with the exhibition on November 24, 2013, which built for a while a new community around Castello di Rivoli, linking, in the context of the project, different groups from widely different localities, from Val Susa to Turin. By booking its use, anyone also used free of charge the dance carpet during museum hours as a contribution to any new project developments.
