Collage (2019 – 2025)
Collage is the medium that recurs most frequently in Marinella Senatore’s practice, a constant through two decades of research and one of the artist’s most immediate translations of her personal and collective vision. By layering images recollected within her participatory projects, silhouettes of real people who took part to the School of Narrative Dance and phrases voiced during her empowerment workshops onto paper – often enriched with luminous gold and silver leaf – Senatore turns the surface itself into a transit zone where concept moves straight from mind to hand.
Each collage functions as an “act of thought”: a luminous, collective map that invites viewers to recognise their own place within a broader constellation of experiences.
